Can I deduct WWL as a business expense?

Wireless Without Limits is like any trade show you attend at a hotel or resort, it just happens to be on a cruise ship.  Although we suggest you confirm with your accountant exactly what can be deducted, it is a legitimate business expense as meetings and exhibit halls are scheduled almost every day and on the off days, you will have opportunity for individualized meetings.

Travel

Are all passengers required to have a valid passport?

A valid passport is required by all passengers at embarkation and throughout the cruise and is the responsibility of the Guest. Any Guest traveling without proper documentation will not be allowed to board the vessel and no refund of the cruise fare will be issued. For further information, see the US Customs and Border Protection website. Travel documents (passports) must be valid for at least 6 months after the cruise (must be valid through 2/17/2019).

The requirements above are for US citizens; non-US nationals may require entry visas in addition to their valid passports. Please check with the U.S. Department of State and the appropriate governmental offices for Canada website for current visa requirements.

Children traveling with only one parent must also complete a consent form that is downloadable PDF on the registration website.

How should I book my airfare?

CELEBRITY CRUISES offers their very own Celebrity Choice Air program that is competitively priced. If guests would like to receive a quote they can contact Seven Seas Events Customer Service at 1-866-377-2228 or email wwl@sevenseasevents to receive their unique booking ID number that is needed to receive the air cost quote.  Once the number is provided, the guests can call Celebrity directly at 1-800-533-7803 or go to http://www.espresso.cruisingpower.com/choiceair/protected/home.do

Which airport should I fly into, and when?

The most convenient airport to arrive at is Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA), which is about 40 minutes from the Smith Cove Cruise Terminal with traffic.

We highly recommend that you arrive in Seattle on Thursday, Aug. 9th so that you may safely be in town the day before the cruise. However, should you wish to fly in on Friday, you must board the ship no later than 2:30pm so please plan accordingly.

What is a safe time for my departing flight on the Friday the cruise returns to port?

To safely make your return flight in the event that we are delayed disembarking the cruise ship, plan your return flight for 1:00 pm or later.

Which hotel should I stay at the night before the cruise?

There are many hotel options in Seattle. Some suggested hotels include:

Seattle Marriott Waterfront (rates starting at $269/night as of 9/29/17)

Hyatt House Seattle (rates starting at $287/night as of 9/29/17)

Holiday Inn Express & Suites – City Center (rates starting at $167/night as of 9/29/17)

How do I arrange for transfers between the Seattle airport and the cruise terminal?

Transfers for the day of embarkation & disembarkation only can be purchased through our travel partner, Seven Seas Corporate Cruises and Events. Simply email wwl@sevenseasevents.com or call 1-866-377-2228. Transfers purchased this way cost $27 per person each way and must be booked for flights arriving into SEA no later than 12:45pm on the day of embarkation.  Scheduled transfers should meet the Celebrity Cruises representative holding a Celebrity Cruises sign in the baggage claim at Sea-Tac.

The Smith Cove Cruise Terminal is conveniently located only 20 miles from Sea-Tac International Airport, and is easily accessible by various forms of transportation such as taxis and Uber/Lyft.  Please be aware in your planning that travel from the airport to the port can take up to 40 minutes with traffic delays.

Is parking available at the cruise terminal?

Yes. Parking is available at the Smith Cove Parking Terminal at 2001 West Garfield St., Lot D, Seattle, WA 98119.

Is travel insurance available?

Staying Connected at Sea

Will internet be available onboard our ship?

Our Premiere sponsor is proud to offer every registered 1st/2nd guest with a free unlimited Wi-Fi package for the duration of the cruise.

CELEBRITY CRUISE LINE now offers Xcelerate Wi-Fi services.  That means speeds are fast enough to keep up with what is happening at work, Facetime and Skype family and friends, play online games or stream your favorite Nexflix show.  There is no doubt that you will be able to stay connected.

Will my cellular phone work during the cruise?

Most cellular phone carriers are tied into the a maritime cellular network that provides service during the majority of the cruise. Please check with your cellular service provider to confirm if your cellular phone will work, and make sure to also ask what the costs would be for making and receiving calls and texts, and what the associated costs would be for mobile internet if your plan includes it.

All ports of call have major cellular carrier coverage.  Please check with your carrier on any applicable roaming fees.

Registration & Booking

Am I automatically registered for the conference when I book my cabin, or is there a separate registration fee?

Booking your cabin through our conference site registration portal will automatically register you for the 2018 Wireless Without Limits Conference. In fact, that is the only way to register. There is no separate registration fee, by the way. The conference itself is free. Attendees just need to book their own cabin.

Are participants required to book cabins through the WWL registration portal?

YES. All participants must book their cabins through our conference site registration portal. Admittance will not be permitted for any portion of our conference program, on or off the ship, to those booking a cabin elsewhere. Please see the question on this page entitled, “What are the advantages of booking through the WWL registration portal?” for more information.

What are the advantages of booking through the required WWL registration portal?

The advantages of booking through our registration portal into our group far outweigh any slight difference in rates that you may find. Things included in our cabin rates are:

When will I be assigned my actual cabin?

Approximately 4-6 weeks prior to sailing, you will receive an email containing your stateroom number and booking number for the cruise.

Are name changes allowed?

Name changes may be made only by the person originally making the reservation using the online reservation system. Name changes are permitted until May 1, 2018. After that time, the ability to change names cannot be guaranteed, and if possible may incur a change fee. Please submit your name change requests to wwl@sevenseasevents.com.

What is the cabin cancellation policy?

Cancel before December 6, 2017 — NO PENALTY 

Cancel between December 7, 2017 and February 10, 2018 – DEPOSIT LOST 

Cancel between February 11, 2018 and April 6, 2018 — 50% of TOTAL COST 

Cancel between April 7, 2018 and August 10, 2018 — NO REFUND

Why are cabin rates different than CELEBRITY’S site, and will rates change?

Our locked in WWL group rates can be a little less or more than the general public’s rates. Sailing demand, group perks provided, and other issues factor into a slight variance in rates that CELEBRITY offers to the general public vs a group block like ours.The advantages of booking into our group far outweigh any slight increase in rates we may be paying in those cases. See “What are the advantages of booking through the WWL registration portal?” for more information. Our locked in rates will not change, but the public’s rates will fluctuate according to demand. Alaskan cruises book up earlier and once we sell out of our initial block, rates for additional cabins added to our block may be higher IF they are even available. So to be safe, book your cabins early!

What is the breakdown of the various costs associated with the cabin, including fees and tips?

All ship charges, including base rate, taxes, fees, port charges and gratuities are INCLUDED in the price.

Base rates
Base rates are the same for the first and second guest in the cabin. However, if an individual occupies the cabin alone, they pay double the base rate. Costs are slightly lower for third and fourth passengers sharing a stateroom with two full-fare passengers. Rates do not change based on age. (There are no child or senior discounts.)

Taxes, Fees, and Port Charges
Taxes, fees, and port charges are $214.22 per person total, for all stateroom categories.

Gratuities  
Gratuities for Suites are $119.00 per person for the entire cruise The cost is $98.00 per person for the entire cruise for Agua Class and Concierge Level staterooms.  All other staterooms are $94.50 per person for the duration. 

Unlimited Internet
1st/2nd passengers in each stateroom receive free Xcelerate unlimited internet for the duration of the cruise. ($249/person value)

Classic Beverage Package
1st/2nd passengers in each stateroom receive the Classic Beverage Package for free ($385 value/person).  3rd/4th passengers traveling in the same room receive the Classic Non-Alcoholic Beverage Package for free. ($126 value)

Is there a discounted rate for children?

Because CELEBRITY CRUISE vacations offers so many special activities for children, there is not a discounted “children’s rate.” However, anyone staying in the same stateroom with two full-fare paying guests will pay a special third and/or fourth guest base rate. So if you intend on having your children stay in your stateroom, their base rate will be lower.

Restrictions & Requirements

How old must a passenger be to travel independently?

Adults aged twenty-one or older on the day of departure, August 10, 2018, may sail on their own. The Cruise Line shall refuse boarding to any guest under the age of twenty-one unless the guest is:

Traveling in the same stateroom with an individual twenty-one years or older or has a connecting room with parents; or is
Traveling in the same stateroom with their spouse (proof of age and/or proof of marriage are required).

What is the age requirement for children to go on the cruise?

Infants who are at least 6 months old on the day of departure, August 10, 2018, may sail.

What are the pregnancy requirements for the cruise?

Women who will be less than 24 weeks into their pregnancy on the last day the cruise, August 17, 2018, will be permitted to sail. This policy is due to the risk of premature labor. Pregnant women must have a letter from their doctor (on the physician’s letterhead) stating how far along (in weeks) their pregnancy will be at the beginning of the cruise, that mother and baby are in good health and fit to travel, and that the pregnancy is not high-risk. This letter is required no less than 6 weeks prior to sailing.

How to Prepare

What forms do I need to complete prior to the cruise, and when?

Approximately 4-6 weeks prior to sailing, you will receive an email containing your stateroom number and booking number for the cruise. The email will contain directions on how to register with CELEBRITY CRUISES online in order to print your boarding documents for embarkation day, sign up for shore excursions, and register a credit card for onboard purchases. All guests are required to complete this online registration prior to cruising. Adults will be responsible for registering the minors in their party. Every passenger must be registered with CELEBRITY CRUISES before the sailing date. While guests may indicate cabin, location, deck or other preferences on their Booking Form, the Cruise Line and Seven Seas Corporate Cruises & Events, Inc. and its third party partners cannot guarantee the availability of any specific stateroom, deck or location to a booking.

Is babysitting available onboard?

For a $6 fee, kids ages 3-11 can participate in the Afternoon Party from Noon-2PM on port days and/or the evening Slumber Party from 10PM-1AM.  Private in suite babysitting is available for children 12 months and older for a fee of $19/hour for up to 3 children in the same family.  Private babysitting services must be arranged onboard 24 hours in advance.

What is the dress code?

Two evenings of the cruise feature the newly refined dress code.  Say goodbye to formal night and hello Evening Chic!

For Women: a cocktail dress, skirt, pants or designer jeans and an elegant top.  
For Men: pants or designer jeans with a dress shirt, button down or sweater (sports coat or blazer optional)

Smart casual is acceptable for all other nights of the cruise.

For Women: skirt, pants or jeans with a casual top
For Men: Pants or jeans with a sport shirt that has sleeves

Note: T-shirts, swimsuits, robes, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps and pool wear are not allowed in the main restaurant or specialty restaurant at any time. Shorts and flip-flops are not allowed in the evening hours. The dress code will be enforced at all restaurants. And guests are asked to follow the Smart Casual or Evening Chic dress code in the Celebrity Theater for all evening performances. The daily program, delivered to your stateroom and available at the Guest Relations Desk, will be your guide to the correct attire each evening.
